Who I am
Hey, I’m Dan — RN, coach, marathoner, dog dad, and your guide to living at Level 10.
I became a life coach because I deeply believe in growth — That we’re not stuck with who we are or how life feels right now. We can choose to change. That change is possible for everyone.
Coaching has given me the tools to help others do the same. To stop wishing, and start taking meaningful action. To cut through the overwhelm, shift old patterns, and step into the strongest, most grounded version of themselves.
If you’re the kind of person who:
→ wants more from life
→ craves accountability and clarity
→ is ready to take aligned, powerful action…
You’re in the right place.
Why I coach
As an operating room nurse, I’ve seen firsthand happens when we wait too long to care for ourselves…
But even outside of the ORs, I kept hearing the same things:
“I wish I had time to cook like you”
“I wish I could run a marathon, I can’t even run 2 miles”
“I wish I had the motivation to go to the gym”
“I should start…”
It frustrated me — not because they were wrong, but because they thought I had something they didn’t. The truth? I don’t have more time, more energy, or more willpower. I’ve just built a life around the belief that we are meant to always be growing — and that we all have the power to create what we want in our lives.
Credentials Timeline
Bachelor of Science, Physiology and Neurobiology
Minor, Medical Anthropology — UConn 2010
Before I ever stepped into an OR or coached a client, I studied how the body works from the inside out—down to its cells, systems, and brain chemistry. This foundation gives me a deep understanding of how nutrition, movement, stress, and mindset impact everything from athletic performance to emotional well-being.
➡️ What sets me apart as a coach: I don’t just give surface-level advice. I help you build habits grounded in real science.
Bachelor of Science, Nursing — UMass Boston, 2017
Thanks to my strong science background and leadership experience, I graduated with honors and held additional leadership roles during nursing school—but it was my mental health nursing rotation that left a lasting mark. There, I learned therapeutic communication skills that gave me an unexpected head start in coaching: how to listen deeply, ask the right questions, and connect with someone’s inner world.
Because of this, when I decided to leave the operating room, I nearly chose the path of psychiatric nursing. However, I realized I was more passionate about working with well people—those who want to grow, not just heal. My clinical training gave me a deep understanding of illness, but coaching gives me the space to focus on prevention, performance, and helping people live with intention before things break down.
➡️ What sets me apart: I bring the clinical clarity of a nurse and the human insight of a coach—so you get both empathy and evidence when you work with me.
Accredited Coach — Erickson Coaching International, 2025
After years of informally guiding coworkers and friends through fitness, food, and mindset shifts, I decided to get professionally trained. My ICF-accredited certification focuses on evidence-based coaching, behavior change, and the neuroscience behind lasting transformation.
It’s not therapy. It’s not cheerleading. Coaching is about helping people tap into their own power to create the life they actually want—without burning out or chasing unrealistic ideals.
➡️ What sets me apart: I blend clinical experience with proven coaching tools to help clients cut through the noise, set aligned goals, and follow through with clarity, purpose, and accountability.
My Philosophy
Science-backed
With a background in physiology, neurobiology, and nursing, I bring a grounded, evidence-based approach to coaching. Everything we work on—whether it’s creating routines, managing stress, or improving self-talk—is rooted in how the body and brain actually function.
This isn’t about trendy hacks or pushing harder. It’s about understanding yourself better, and making choices that are effective and support your well-being, long-term.
Growth Mindset
You’re not stuck, and change is possible. Period.
A growth mindset means seeing every challenge as an opportunity to learn, build resilience, and move forward. You don’t need to be perfect to make progress—you just need to be willing to show up. My job is to help you stay curious, self-compassionate, and open to what’s next.
Whole Person
You are more than your habits or productivity. You are layered—physically, mentally, emotionally—and all of those parts matter.
In coaching, we explore how to live with more alignment and intention. That might mean creating better boundaries, feeling more confident in your choices, or simply learning how to take better care of yourself—without guilt. That’s living at a Level 10.
Fun facts about me
– I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail (all 2,190 miles of it) in 2011 after graduating from UConn—it taught me grit, presence, and how to survive with just peanut butter and powdered milk.
– I was a proud Kappa Sigma brother and was elected Most Valuable Brother for leading education and community service efforts.
– Before nursing, I spent years in fine dining and restaurant leadership, eventually becoming a corporate trainer for multiple brands. It’s where I fell in love with teaching and mentorship.
– I’m a big believer in living fully—and that shows up in the little things:
→ Running, lifting, and hiking with my huskies
→ Cooking nourishing (and sometimes indulgent) meals
→ Snowboarding, reading, and learning new languages
→ I scuba dive every chance I get
